Day 11, LOAD 515

WOW, 11 days under my belt, and although I'm still really sick (breathing is hard), I've not missed one day yet... a little bit proud of that even if I do say so myself.

Today's prompt was "your song"... and it might surprise you that I didn't pick an Alice song!! I actually picked a song from 1967 - the year my amazing husband was born, that brings me a smile whenever I hear it. It's by The Turtles and it's called So Happy Together. I dare you to listen and not tap your foot!!

So here is my layout... I had a blast using this kt as I am super obsessed with Bee's of late... I know weird, right?

Hope you have a great Scrappy day, until tomorrow,

Day 10, LOAD 515

Happy Mother's Day to all the mums (including those who take the role of mum)... I hope your day was filled with spoils...

Now, let me count the ways I loved this prompt tonight... so many, many ways! The prompt was "personal favourite, album art". I knew almost straight away what I wanted to do, however how to do it was another story! My inspiration was from my first ever Alice Cooper album, Welcome To My Nightmare (which is also the reason I got into Alice). As you can see, it's a great album cover and just screams to be scrapped!!

I kept the concept a bit simpler, and the colour scheme similar, but maybe more bold. I had to scrap a photo of my daughter Larissa (or as she is known to the world, Ninja Riz) and was a great opportunity to brag about how proud we are of what she has become... she didn't have the easiest time of it, but she came through the other side and her father and I are as proud as punch as to what she had achieved.

Hope you have a great Scrappy day, until tomorrow,

Day 9, LOAD 515

Today's prompt was Mis-Heard, scrapbook your own misunderstanding or scrapbook a dispute or battle instead. How do you solve a disagreement? Oh, this is a loaded gun for me right now... no photos, just pure story, 6 x 12 page for my "about me" album. I'm glad to get the story down. We can't learn from mistakes if we brush them under the carpet, getting it down was also great therapy!

Now I'm off to have a cry and cleanse my feelings.
Hope you have a great Scrappy day, until tomorrow,

Day 8, LOAD 515

Today's prompt was "hip-hop"... well I had no idea where to go with this. Do I do an Easter layout like the example? Do I try and do a twist on the prompt? Do I go off prompt? I was confused and stuck!

So, whenever I get stuck I throw Spotify on and listen to some tunes to take my mind off of things for a bit and then maybe something will just come to me. No sooner had I opened my Spotify than I realized I should just go with the obvious! So I checked out what artists in my many playlists where known as "hip-hop", and then this layout just unfolded.

Hope you have a great Scrappy day, until tomorrow,

Day 7, LOAD 515

Well, that is the first week under my belt.. what a blast!

Today's prompt was audience participation, what was your favourite concert?

Well doh!! Anyone who knows me would know it would have to be an Alice Concert... but instead of sharing photos of the concert itself, I thought I would go with something that happened right before the concert, when Paul and I met up with some friends (and fellow Alice fans) and got our "Alice" eyes on before we left... such fun!

Hope you have a great Scrappy day, until tomorrow,

Day 6, LOAD 515

Today's prompt of Olivia Newton John could of taken me in so many different directions. I decided to flip through my photos and see what grabbed me today. This photo of Paul and I coming home from Naracoorte last year jumped out at me, and made me realize that despite so much we're still together, still in love and only have eyes for each other. It reminded me how much we belong, and the of course the song "You're the one that I want" started swimming in my head. We both at the beginning were prepared to change a little so the other one would be more interested, and then just like in the movie, discovered it was the person we were that the other was more interested in.

Hope you have a great Scrappy day, until tomorrow,
